Walk-Through or Drive-Through Lights?
Two different ways to enjoy Christmas lights—and the details to check before choosing.

Choose how you want to experience the display
Walking makes the route part of the outing. Driving keeps the group in the vehicle. Neither format guarantees a shorter visit or easier access: compare the specific venue’s route, entry process and visitor guidance.
Compare ticket units, not just prices
A per-vehicle ticket and a per-person ticket are not directly comparable. Check passenger limits, vehicle restrictions and any separately ticketed activities. For walking displays, confirm which ages require admission and whether entry is timed.
Think about your group’s comfort
For a walking route, check surface conditions, accessibility, restrooms and weather policies. For a drive-through route, read vehicle rules and arrival instructions. Ask the operator about any concern that could change whether the outing works for your group.
Keep the booking flexible where possible
Read cancellation and ticket-change rules before paying. Confirm the actual evening’s schedule and any weather notice before departure. If you combine lights with another attraction, make the booked entry slot the anchor of your plan.
Before you go
Is drive-through admission always per vehicle?
No. Read the ticket unit and passenger rules for the specific display. Do not calculate your group’s cost from a headline price alone.
Can I get out of the car during a drive-through display?
Follow the operator’s instructions. Do not assume that a drive-through route allows stopping or leaving the vehicle.
Which format is better for someone with limited mobility?
It depends on the specific attraction. Ask a walking display about surfaces and accessible routes, and a driving display about vehicle rules and any activities outside the car.
Does a ticket reserve a precise start time?
Some displays use an entry window, while others have different arrival arrangements. Read the booking confirmation and operator’s check-in instructions.
